Abstract

Clozapine is the only antipsychotic which is effective in ‘Treatment-Resistant Schizophrenia’. However, it is associated with many side effects. Among those, eosinophilia is considered to be a non-dose dependent adverse drug reaction. We present here a case of a dose-dependent severe eosinophilia following clozapine therapy. In spite of extensive search of PubMed and Medline database we could not find any previous report of clozapine induced dose-dependent eosinophilia in the English language literature.
